To help us ensure that you have an amazing time at Gumbo Gala, please make note of the following helpful hints:

• Arrive at Sloss Furnace at 11:00 or shortly after.  Although Gumbo Gala goes until 2:00, we want to ensure that you sample all the gumbo of your heart's desire.

​

• Gumbo Gala will happen rain or shine!

​

• We love dogs, and we love them more when they are on leash.  We also love pet owners who pick up after their dogs, so come prepared!

​

• We also love kids and there will be plenty of fun activities in the kids' zone.  In fact, we love kids so much that unattended children will be given espresso and a free puppy to take home.

​

• Cook teams will compete to raise money.  Bring cash to make donations with your favorite team and help them win!  All cash donations at Gumbo Gala will go to Episcopal Place.

• Prepare to get your grove on with Margeaux and the Cat's Meow.  We encourage dancing and singing with the band!
